31 May 05 Xanadu In Court Today Radio Xanadu DJ Steve West was in court faced with charges of operating an unlicenced/pirate radio station. Mr West pleaded Guilty m'lud and was given an 18 months conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £250. All station equipment including Transmitter, PC and other broadcast equipment was confiscated in the raid on the Xanadu studios back in February of this year. It was forfeited as part of the punishment and will be destroyed. ![]() A total wasted of... Public Money Court Time Vital Services Police Time 20 Feb 05 Xanadu Studio Raid At 5:30 pm today we had some unwanted visitors call at our studio who took Xanadu off the air and confiscated all of our broadcast, audio and computer equipment. We can only apologise to all of our listeners for the inconvenience caused by this intrusion and we hope that we can be back on air within the next couple of weeks. Unwelcome Studio Visitors Jan 05 Xanadu 99.7 On Air Radio Xanadu is now on the air broadcasting from 9pm Friday until 1am Monday. At present we are only on low power but we hope to be on a much higher wattage just as soon as we sort out some last minute tech hitches. The main thing is though, we are broadcasting, and that's what its all about in the end.
Freeing The Airwaves Dec 04 New Rock Radio Station on Merseyside As I write this our team of highly trained and skilled engineers are hard at work with yogurt pots, sticky tape, egg cartons, elastic bands, cereal boxes, PVA glue, round ended scissors, and a roll of sticky back plastic hastily preparing the studio's and air testing our transmitters in readiness for the stations eagerly awaited spectacular launch In January 2005.
